11 Months!!

Alice is 11 months old today!! Yikes, almost a year! She is still scooting around and has pulled herself up into a standing position a couple of times. Still no teeth, but she is getting some hair!

Alice celebrated a little early by going over to the Turman's on Sunday to hang out with Ada and her bff Mae. (And mommy and daddy ate delicious kabobs. Thanks Adam and Sara!)

Of course, like all Bff's, Alice called Mae before coming over to make sure they were wearing coordinating outfits. OMG

This was Alice's first time in a kiddie pool. She basically sat in one spot while Mae crawled all over the place and threw all the toys out of the pool and then picked them up again. Such a cutie!

So, Alice decided she'd do her first crib-stand. Isn't she a big girl?

I found this old family photo while cleaning the attic this weekend. If any of you know anything about it, let me know...

Alice Mae in: "Skillz (June 07)'"

Alice has been doing a lot of new things lately. She knows a few sign language signs (milk, give, all done/gone) and we're trying to teach her some more (bath, sleep, etc...). She's really been communicating with those lately. It's pretty neat.

She also does "So Big!" just like her Elmo book.

And she's about a day or two away from full-on crawling. You'll see in the video, she scoots around pretty good, and she's pulled herself up to a standing position a few times now. Lucky for us, when she finds something on the ground, she usually hands it right over to us, instead of putting it in her mouth. That's good, since we have tons of cat-hair dust-bunnies that hide under any piece of furniture.

She's also learning to make some new sounds, and that's pretty cool. Is she building a vocabulary? You betcha!
